Mothering

An exploration of the intensity of mothering: birthing, holding, protecting. Preparing a new life to encounter challenge and difficulty with tenacity, patience, and forgiveness. Watching a new being encounter more than I could possibly prepare her for, growing into a world that changes all the time. Reflecting on my own spine, strength, scars, joys. Trusting that she will have what she needs.

"Mothering" doesn't have to be a gendered term. People of all genders birth and mother new life, new projects, all the time.
